Throw Out the Lighter Fluid

...and get a Barbecue Charcoal Chimney Starter. This nifty device is a win-win. Compliments of my dad, we will never have to deal with lighter fluid again. You know how it goes. You hate to use it in the first place because it is bad for the environment, and secondly it doesn't even work that well. You think it's lit, but then noooo...you wait 30 minutes and realize the coals aren't hot and then you get to start the process all over again. If you grill as much as we do, you can empathize with my ramblings.

Not exactly sure where to locate one of these in Zurich. This bad-boy flew back with me from California and it was well worth it. I know they are out there though. I have seen our grill-master neighbor using one. So, next time when you plan to spend a Saturday in the park, bring your charcoal starter. All you will need besides that is some paper from your recycling bin and matches. Simple as that.

*Side question for my Swiss readers: What do you do with the hot coals after grilling at the park? How do you dispose of them? Still haven't figured this one out. Helpful hints welcomed.
